I have hired Kyra Lawton to do interior work on two houses of mine. Each job has been successful thanks to her unflagging enthusiasm, endless patience, and flawless aesthetic. Although the jobs varied in size and scope, Kyra completed the work on time and within budget – even more impressive considering the tightness of both and the results, which looked as if she had tripled the time and money.

In our first professional experience together, Kyra completely modernized our home – an 1850’s historic house built for a whaling boat captain. I gave her a budget and she put together furnishings that not only enhanced the features of the house, albeit with a modern twist, but also reflected the personalities of our family. When we moved two years later, our house sold faster than comparable homes in the area in large part due to how well the house showed (resale value is always a consideration for Kyra thankfully).

The second job was more involved. After buying a 1980’s farmhouse, we hired Kyra to redesign and open up the outdated kitchen, create a master suite out of an old in-law apartment, paint every interior wall and help furnish the home to once again reflect our family. The results are stunning. Four years later, the house remains stylish yet comfortable, well suited for both intimate family gatherings and large boisterous parties. The kitchen is the central point in the house and the layout makes cooking a pleasure. Our master suite is an oasis with a gorgeous walk-in closet and a bathroom to rival any spa. Because Kyra is so thoughtful and thorough with her designs, I have no regrets or unfilled wishes concerning work we did on the house. I highly recommend Kyra for any job – I wouldn’t buy another house without her!
